Ana Arce

Deaf advocate and professional artist Ana Kristina Arce is a Deaf advocate that stands for the cause of believing in the ability of a person, and not the disability. Even though she was born Deaf, Ana overcame life’s obstacles, and graduated as the first Deaf Magna Cum Laude of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, with the Degree of Bachelor in Applied Deaf Studies. She has won numerous institutional awards, one of them is the Community Service Award which are given to individuals who have caused positive change in her community.
Aside from her profession, she uses her skills and heart in contributing to the Deaf cause by volunteer work in various Deaf communities, and even in the midst of hearing people, in which she aims to help integrating the Deaf and the hearing together in unity. Ana believes the Deaf people can do anything, except hear.She also advocates for the natural signed language of the country – the Filipino Sign Language.
Ana currently works for the Creative Services Unit of DLS-CSB’s Marketing and Communications Office.
