7 Days to Go!

  • Invitation Only. We’re often asked how much tickets cost or if it is open to all. Unfortunately, as we have announced in the event page, it is by invitation only.
  • Contest. The good news is, we have at least 10 (possibly more) seats that we are giving away to the TEDx fan community that is quickly forming! In other words, no you cannot buy a ticket- but you can win it! There’s a quick questionnaire that asks simple questions about you and why you want to go. You’ll be picked according to these 3 criteria: 1 how much of a fan you are, 2 your ability to spread whatever you will learn, 3 what you’re gonna do *now* to plug/announce TEDx! Simple really.   • Live Webcast. If only 150 people can come to event, what’s the point of making so much noise about it? Here’s why- we’re streaming it LIVE. In other words- wherever you may be in the world, as long as you’re logged in our USTREAM page, you can watch live. There’s also a chat box for you to talk with people about what you’re watching. Event starts at 5pm so I’ll try to set this thing up as early as 4:30 so you can log in early and start .. er.. bonding with people there.. Some “TIPS” if you’re joining the contest:

  • Facebook. Are you a fan yet? Fan us up. Announce it there too. Don’t SPAM your friends. Just talk about the event sincerely and let them know that the webcast is on and the speakers are awesome. We have 193 fans on Facebook!
  • Twitter. Are you even on Twitter? We (the team) highly recommend that you get on Twitter. And when you do, follow us. That way you get to find out the lastest updates as they happen (like webcast details on the event itself). And if you’re joining the contest- Tweeting about us helps! Actually even if you don’t join the contest- please please please tweet about us. Tweet about the webcast too so your friends log on and you can watch together. When you tweet, always end the message with @tedxfort so that we can track what you’re saying!
